Knitwork

Knitwork is a community art project organized by the Quidi Vidi Village Artisan Studios designed to inspire creativity and imagination through fiber art. Our fiber art rock garden is spread around our building in Quidi Vidi Village showcasing work contributed from our community of fiber artists created using repurposed wool.

Knitters, crocheters, and creatives of all skill levels were invited to contribute by joining us to knit/crochet on the main floor of the Artisan Studios or by dropping off their finished pieces. We had a fabulous turn out, with local crafters and tourist contributing pieces to the project. The pieces were sewn together and secured to rocks that have been placed around the Village.

The Rocks will be placed around the Village mid May for viewing during the summer of 2022.
